ASUC Intimate Partner Violence Commission Details
The Intimate Partner Violence Commission at UC Berkeley address the issue of domestic violence on campus and within our society. The organization focuses on preventing domestic violence through education, awareness, and outreach. We are a resource for students experiencing abuse, and work to change the culture of violence in UC Berkeley's surrounding community. To date, we have presented to over 2000 high school and middle school students. Furthermore, this organization hosts events on the UC Berkeley campus to raise awareness about domestic violence, and we engage students in the prevention of future violence. We work with fraternities, sororities, student groups, campus departments and administrators. In addition to off campus work and schools and local shelters. We look forward to facilitating a future without violence
