Atchingtan Learning Center (ALC) is a 501 (c) (3) Public Charity that offers environmental learning experiences to groups or individuals, and also provides the opportunity to experience happiness, healing, inspiration, or solace, within unspoiled natural surroundings.We are at peace in this serene and private space where we, and invited guests, learn from one another and the land, connect with mother earth, and live in the moment. With help from earth-loving souls, we enable the land to care for itself and provide food, medicine, materials and habitat.ALC is a peaceful retreat, a place for people to live, breathe and educate themselves on the concept of permaculture, and other sustainable practices, and gives sanctuary to the creatures who honor us with their presence on the land. We have been welcoming people to the 30-acre site – which comprises private, unspoiled land surrounded by forest in Northern Minnesota – since 2013. We have hosted a number of different groups, including botanists, foragers, gardeners, permaculturists, yoga practitioners, belly dancers, herbalists, wildcrafters, artists, reenactors, and many more. ALC provides sustainable land management education and natural experiences in a serene and private space to those who would otherwise not have them, and educates the public on the importance of environmental preservation through natural means.If you are looking for a site like ALC to hold your classes, or to attend classes, please contact us.
