Atelier Riforma is an innovative startup with a social vocation, aimed at making the fashion industry more sustainable through circular economy and creativity. We collect used clothes, give them new value through tailoring (with a process called upcycling) and resell them.In order to feed the virtuous behavior of consumers, through our bidirectional traceability system, we ensure the transparency of the destination of the garment to those who donated it and inform the buyer about the positive impact on the environment that he had through his purchase. The idea of Atelier Riforma was born during the training course about innovative enterprises "Talenti per l'Impresa" of the CRT Foundation (2018-2019) by the two co-founders Elena Ferrero and Sara Secondo. The company was then incorporated and recognized as innovative startup in May 2020.To date, the network of tailoring professionals created by Atelier Riforma includes more than 20 realities spread throughout Italy (tailors, designers, various artisans, fashion schools and 5 social tailorings where disadvantaged people find a job). All of them use their creative skills to give a second life to discarded garments and prevent them from turning into waste. We thus get sustainable, ethical garments, each of which is a unique piece. We are actively engaged in innovation and research and development activities, thanks to partnerships with other companies: our ultimate goal is to make the textile and fashion industry completely circular.
