The Ateneo Environmental Science Society (AESS) is the premier environmental organization of the Ateneo de Manila University. The organization commits itself to providing avenues and opportunities that are grounded by logical environmentalism which is enriched by the varying disciplines of its members. AESS seeks to inform that everyone holds the same responsibility in protecting our common home and its people. With that, AESS hopes to help concretize that responsibility and advocacy by implementing projects and initiatives such as on-campus educational talks and forums, coastal clean-ups, field trips, and online campaigns.Mission:As a student organization in pursuit of environmental advocacy, the Ateneo ESS aims to develop and empower members and, in general, the youth by providing adequate venues for environmental awareness, appreciation, and action through interactive and participatory activities and campaigns grounded on scientific reason, involving but not limited to the Ateneo community.Vision:The Ateneo ESS envisions itself as a community of proactive young individuals, principally Ateneans, which will spearhead the Filipino youth towards their direct involvement in the protection, conservation and restoration of the dynamic environment leading to sustainable development.
