Research - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
ATNS began in 2002 as a research project focusing on treaties and agreement making with Indigenous Australians. Since then, the ATNS team and our partners have continued to investigate agreement making and maintain the ATNS database. ATNS provides an online portal for people seeking information on agreements with Indigenous peoples. We aim to promote knowledge and transparency by capturing the range and variety of agreement making occurring in Australia and other parts of the world. We gather and review information from publicly available academic sources, online materials and documents provided by the organisations and agencies involved in agreement-making processes. No confidential material is published. Follow @ATNSProject on Twitter for recent news relating to agreements, treaties and negotiated settlements. https://twitter.com/atnsproject The ATNS team acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and their continuing connection to land, culture and Ancestors. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
