ATS is a rural supplies co-operative based in Mid Canterbury. Formed in 1963, it was set up by local farmers seeking lower input costs for their farming businesses. This vision continues to drive ATS and forms its mission statement "ATS, lowering costs for our farming communities." We see ourselves as very much a part of local rural communities and in turn enjoy giving support back to the community. Today ATS has a growing membership of more than 3,000 shareholders, operates three outlets in Ashburton, Methven and Rakaia and has a team of around 70 full-time staff. ATS members have access to over 3000 Ruralco Suppliers covering all farming and personal needs including irrigation supplies, fuel, building supplies, farm machinery, supermarkets, restaurants, clothing, and electrical appliances. ATS provides a wide range of services to its members to create a comprehensive full service farming co-operative. The list of services includes, Ruralco Card, ATS Energy, ATS Farm Supplies Stores, ATS Seed, ATS Trading Post, Fertiliser, Fuel Options, Servicing Arable, Servicing Dairy & Spray Hardware. Our experienced and friendly staff can assist with all farming related requirements. ATS stores stock an extensive range of farm suppliers from agricultural chemicals to dairy shed requirements and everything in between. In addition to this, ATS also stocks a large range of Manchester, clothing, kitchenware and giftware. As part of the retail service, ATS operates a dedicated Customer Service Centre aiming for first point resolution which members can call for all enquiries including: Orders, quotes and membership enquiries, Fertiliser orders, Electricity and fuel enquiries, Organising on-farm delivery of ATS purchased goods.
