AUCSA Diversity Commission Details
As of the autmun term of 2016, the AUC community has their very own Diversity Commission. The Diversity Commission was founded to promote diversity-minded discourse within the AUC community. Irrespective of cultural heritage, sexual orientation, gender, faith or political ideology, you should be able to call AUC a place in which you feel safe and accepted. We believe we should celebrate the wealth of diversity that can be found at AUC. Everyone bringing in their own unique stories and perspectives, every single one adding value to your education here.We aim to offer as many students as possible the opportunity to contribute to these goals by frequently opening up applications to become commissioner, a position from which you can work to improving the visibility and/or address issues related to a topic close to your heart. Previously commissioners have worked on topics such as Feminism, LGBTQ+, People of African descent, cultural diversity and Intellectual diversity. Next to this, you can participate in focus groups dedicated to each of the topics, allowing you to influence our agenda.
