In the 50's, Keith Wilson worked for Shure as the Chief Design Engineer where he created the SM58 and SM57 microphones. After years of working with Mr. Shure, he moved on to start a professional and commercial sound contractor business, Foster Sound, and one of the first, if not the absolute first, distribution center for audio supplies. In 1988, Mr. Wilson decided that dealing with the end user was not as much of a hobby as it was a job and put his priorities first; he started Audio Supply, a wholesale distributor for audio and visual supplies that offered free intricate sound design and engineering, technical support, and wiring diagrams. His love was for the engineering and the designing and for the relationships built with this customers, friends. We lost Mr. Wilson, father of Cathleen, the owner and grandfather of Lauren, Officer of Audio Supply, in 2010. However, we continue to operate the only way he would allow:-We love what we do or we wouldn't be doing it.-The customer is always right.-Treat people with respect and be respected.-Our job is our hobby, our office is our home and our peers are our family.-Operate to provide jobs, to create jobs, to employ good people, to fill the needs of good customers--don't operate to make enough money to buy three houses and 14 cars.
