The city of Austin is known as "The Live Music Capital of the World." With a name like that, it's understood that the people of the Austin area enjoy all types of music, but there was a void for those who enjoyed the sounds of smooth jazz. This is how the Austin Area Jazz Festival came into existence in 2015. From the beginning, the Austin Area Jazz Festival has set out to provide the people of the Austin area with performances from top-tier talent and bring awareness to extraordinary visual artists, all while raising funds for many different programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas (which operates the event).We believe you can party with a purpose, and our festival reflects that. With the support of jazz and art lovers from the Austin area, Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and all across the nation, we have continued to grow each year. AAJF is not only a celebration of music and art, but also of the community. We thank each and every person who has participated in the Austin Area Jazz Festival over the years, and we will continue to provide you with the best in entertainment, art, and culture.
