Austin Orthopaedics Spine and Sports Medicine is a group of board-certified orthopaedic surgeons inlcuding Dr. Newt Hasson, Dr. William Roden, and Dr. Veerabhadra Reddy. Dr Hasson has been in south Austin since 1983 specializing in fracture care, with a special interest in sports medicine, knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction, as well as total joint replacements of the hip and knee. A former collegiate lacrosse and football player himself, Dr. Hasson has been the team physician for Westlake High School for over 23 years. Dr. Hasson currently serves on the board of directors of the Greater Austin Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. Dr. Roden has over 26 years of experience in many areas of orthopaedics, to include fractures; arthroscopy and reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, knee, and ankle; total joint replacements of the hip and knee; back injuries; and hand surgery. He is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Surgeons and of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Roden has been named one of "America's Top Physicians" by the Consumers' Research Council of America.Dr. Reddy did both his surgical internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at Northwestern University. During his fellowship, he gained further expertise in the treatment of the entire foot and ankle, including forefoot reconstruction, complex post-traumatic and degenerative arthritis, and sports injuries in athletes. Dr. Reddy is new to the Austin area and is looking forward to taking care of patients with orthopaedic problems, especially of the foot and ankle.
