Motherhood has a funny way of birthing more than just our children, and such was the case for Becca Roberie, our founder and CEO, when she started Austin Tie Dye Co. in 2013. Becca's son, Alex, was born in early 2012, and after settling into the routine of motherhood, Becca started ATD as a creative outlet. In our early days, Becca ran ATD out of her home tie-dying baby clothes, t-shirts, and the occasional sarong. In Spring 2014, our Mod Collection of baby blankets was conceived, and they quickly became our most popular products. The Mod Collection was such a success that it acted as a springboard for our Tranquil Collection and Tie-Dye Collection of baby blankets, in addition to our child travel Nova Collection and our adult Supernova Collection. With larger inventories of blankets and dyes, ATD expanded into our second home at 8222 N. Lamar in Fall 2014.
