The Australian Apprentice Association is a member driven, peak body, focused on modernising the apprentice and traineeship experience through innovation, creativity and collaboration.While there has been significant investment in the apprentice system and a wide variety of service agencies are active in space, we believe that much of these efforts are not translating to a modernisation of the 'experience' for the apprentice. The psychological experience on the work site is the most profound contributor to apprenticeship completion or cancellation. Naturally, this is where we believe investment, innovation and modernisation must be invested to have a genuine and meaningful impact on the national average completion rate. In turn, youth unemployment, youth mental health, skills shortage, future workforce capacity etc will be positively supported by greater retention of young people in VET qualifications.
