The Australian Clearinghouse for Youth Studies (ACYS) is a not-for-profit organisation funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Education and Training's, Access, Engagement and Youth. We operate at the University of Tasmania through the Faculty of Education under the direction of Dr Jeremy Prichard, Faculty of Law.For over 30 years ACYS has collected, synthesized, disseminated and published information on young people, from early adolescence to early adulthood (12 to 25 years old). Our aim is to to contribute to the development of engaged and resilient young people in Australia by assisting those working with or for young people to make informed decisions about policy, practice and programs. We achieve this by researching and publishing comprehensive, evidence-informed, up-to-date and relevant information on key issues and practices in the youth field via a number of resources: • the ACYS website (www.acys.info) – delivers a comprehensive range of youth-related resources areas relating to all aspects of young people; • Youth Field Express (YFX) – a free youth sector resource focusing on the most significant youth news from the past month; • Face the Facts (FtF) briefings – each package tackles a single issue related to young Australians and includes an in-depth analysis of factors involved, policy implications and possible future developments.
