The Austrian Institute for Caucasus Studies (ICS) was founded as a non-governmental institution in Austria by professors and alumni's from the University of Vienna.The main aim of the ICS is to conduct research on the Caucasus region, to promote cultural and economic exchange with neighbor regions such as Eastern Anatolia, Caspian Sea region and the Black Sea region of Ukraine. To achieve these goals, the ICS builds substantive and organizational links with organizations on the national and international level. The ICS aims to bring representatives of public, economy, culture and business of the Caucasus region and of other countries, e.g. Austria and other European countries, together in order to establish cooperations in different fields. The ICS can be seen as a think thank.ICS's fields of interest:- Planning, organization and implementation of scientific research projects- Establishment of cooperations with relevant local and international institutions- Organization of seminars and workshops- Analysis- Consulting
