The MAIA series of products monitor infants aged 0-6m in the cradle, when they are most vulnerable from accidental hazards such as choking, suffocation and the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). The smart cradles are discrete and unobtrusive, require no programming and do not come in contact with either the baby's skin or its clothes.MAIA smart cradles cover the functionality of traditional baby monitors but add extra sensors, intelligent signal processing and automatic wireless notification for parents in case of emergency.Different models in the series address the safety and lifestyle needs of parents in a home environment (choking hazards, temperature alerts, uncovered baby), paediatric diagnosis facilitation (sleep log, black box recording, translational software) and larger healthcare units such as Neonatal and Paediatric clinics (multiple smart cradles connected to a central server).
