The AUVSI Heartland chapter represents and supports the association in both Illinois and Wisconsin. The chapter represents government, industry and academia. In keeping with the stated aims of AUVSI, the Heartland chapter has been formed to: (a) provide an organization for individuals who have a common interest in Unmanned Vehicle Systems, (b) provide a local presence for AUVSI to help foster and expand the domain of Unmanned Vehicle Systems, and in turn expand the overall footprint of AUVSI, (c) advance the technology, (d) exchange ideas and information in the field of Unmanned Vehicle Systems and to recognize the advances and contributions thereto, (e) promote the education of the membership and general public in the field of Unmanned Vehicle Systems, (f) document the history of Unmanned Vehicle Systems, and (g) share our passion for this emerging technology field.
