We would like to introduce ourselves as "AVACreations Social Impact Foundation, a Section 8 Company incorporated to promote handloom value chain & sericulture practices as an alternate livelihood opportunity among 530+ womens from forest dependent communities of Assam so that they can earn sustainable income with dignity.We have established our "Community Weaving Center" in Matia Pahar, Near Deepor Beel Wildlife Sanctuary, Guwahati. "Maa Xuta Prakalpa", which is one of our holistic approaches to promote Eri Silk (non violent silk) rearing, spinning of eri silk yarn by the women from forest dependent communities so that their sole dependence on forest for their livelihood can be reduced. Currently we have 8 (eight) Producer Groups (PG) who are engaging themselves in Eri Silk Rearing and Spinning consisting of 30 women in a producer group covering 16 forest villages. Recently, we have also set up a "Handloom Experience Center" in Matia Pahar, near Deepor Beel Wild Life Sanctuary, Kahikuchi, Azara to attract tourists and textile enthusiasts across the globe.
