The Genesis:avant-gardED sprang from Education Pioneers' Analyst Fellowship Program. The six founders, all members of the 2013-14 Southern cohort, worked in a variety of organizations providing education or services to educators across the South and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. In our roles, each founder discovered that the technology and data science tools available to educators and school administrators were frequently lacking, oftentimes severely. At meetups in cities around the country, in emails and text messages, we shared our experiences, frustrations, and successes. We began identifying best practices to be propagated across our placements and beyond, and imagining tools that we wished existed.Our Mission:Schools and other educational institutions have enormous amounts of social, emotional, and educational capital. However, due to under-resourcing, schools are expected to maintain and administer increasingly complex services, particularly those that are technological and analytical. We endeavor to make this process easier for our partners and fill this gap where it exists by: -Creating tools that more ably serve the educational organizations avant-gardED's founders have worked with in a variety of roles including data analysis, compliance, state and federal performance reporting, and financial and grant management-Providing data science and analysis expertise that many educational organizations are often lacking-Delivering technology integration and enterprise architecture consulting and expertise to ensure a dynamic and robust organization for the present and future-We believe that these three services will support educators in providing evermore tailored, informative, and exciting services and experiences to students and their communities at large.For more information on the particular services and products we are currently offering please see our website.
