Technology is a powerful tool for good, but in the quest for a brighter digital future, there is a risk that too many will be left behind and that the best parts of our technological inheritance will be accessible to too few. The Foundation's goal is therefore to have a definable and sustainable impact within communities across the globe by drawing attention to and working to dissolve barriers to digital freedom and citizenship. Through our thought leadership, we engage a range of communities, influencers and leaders in the field to understand and share the challenges and possibilities of digital freedom. Our programs focus the collective resources of the Avast Foundation and our partners by investing in approaches that are diverse, inclusive and future-focused. Together with Avast staff, we demonstrate the wider world we want to live in through our individual and collective work to support others. We aim to empower our constituents and include them in the process of program development, so that we are doing things with people, and never to them. Potential beneficiaries are included as leaders and architects of their own solutions while we and our partners work to amplify their impact by providing access to resources, including expertise, networks, funding, and publicity. We work with organizations large and small addressing a variety of barriers to digital freedom in communities around the world. We seek partners who are tapping into the immense creative capacity that exists within local communities, and who empower and uplift local changemakers.
