Avirah is the University of Maryland's Israeli Dance Company. Originally formed in the 1990s and revived in 2013, Avirah is now a strong performing group made up of students with diverse dance backgrounds. We perform and teach traditional folkdance and modern Israeli Dance on campus, in the Greater Washington D.C. area, and at Israeli Dance Festivals up and down the East Coast.
