Much like how the art house movement of the 1960's was a foundation of artistic innovation and served as a springboard to some of today's most celebrated filmmakers, the recent advancements in digital technology have changed the way in which we interact with, and make movies. Avrec Art House is a production and distribution company with a passion for building the independent film community in Salt Lake City, UT. We seek out new and innovative ways of making and telling stories through the medium of film, as well as new and innovative ways of allowing our films to be experienced. Our small successes and desire to stay and build the community in Salt Lake sprouted the idea of a shared lab space for independent filmmakers. Using a membership based business model, our goal is to help low budget film projects with their best chance of success through providing network & meeting space, forums & workshops, discounted equipment, editing suites, and project support.
