Away Like Home (ALHO) is a trusted online platform that captures all the information generated from the different generations of students, allowing an easier settle in the new city for the newcomers. ALHO creates private micro communities for each University so that members will interact directly with the people sharing the same interests and doing the same experiences. Away Like Home is targeting those international students who, moving in a new environment:-need to find the people to share the apartment with-need to find an apartment-need to know how to move around and where to live-have to live abroad for a limited (1/2 years) period of time.Away Like Home (ALHO) gives its users the possibility to get together with their future class mates beforehand, find pre-selected apartments in town to share, get to know the new environment by consulting the information gathered from the alumni network, find different services targeting them offered by the new environment. We have seen that international students market has been incredibly growing in the last decade and Universities around Europe are struggling to attract international students to scale up the rankings. Having seen this opportunity in the market we have decided to build an online platform based on private micro communities, meaning that only students with academic e-mails can access the portal.The way we bring international students to Away Like Home is by collaborating closely with the Universities around Europe, which would provide their students with a better supportive service, even before moving to the new city. We have been international students before and we know what our customers are looking for.
