We are the National Capital Region Section of the American Water Resources Association National Capital Region Section, with members located in the Maryland-Virginal-Washington, DC metropolitan area. AWRA-NCRS provides a common forum for professionals in water resources and related areas. Selected as the AWRA Outstanding State Section for 2018, we work to bring our members the latest trends in water resource science, technology, planning, and policy while hosting professional development and networking events throughout the year that bring together a diverse group of water resources professionals.Section Objectives:• Provide a forum for professionals to meet and exchange ideas on all aspects of water resources and related fields;• Promote advances in water and related resources development, management and protection;• Distribute information on water and related resources and establish lines of communication with the public;• Relate the needs of water resource managers, educators and government agencies to qualified professionals and consultants;• Promote rational and objective use of water resources, and• Cooperate with other sections and public and private organizations concerned with water resources.
