Architecture Firm/Engineering Firm - N/A, N/A, BE
The history of Axis71 starts in 1971, in the center of Saint-Germain-des-Prés (Paris - France). In 2001 Mr. Patrick Vossen takes over the company. He keeps the company's name which has an exquisite reputation and adds the number 71, a reference to the year of birth of Axis. . He sees the necessity to reposition. Design stays of course the « core business »but the « playful » objects, with a short life cycle are progressively replaced by lighting and furniture. The priority goes to pure forms and timeless lines, which are a trend during the third millennium. The chateau de Francs, built in the XIVe century, owned by the family Vossen, becomes a source of inspiration for the designers of the brand. The firm castle walls, the game of light and shadow, the old and warm environment, surrounded by mystery... Everything leads to a line full of emotion, unique and elegant, with perfect silhouettes who abide time with beauty...A good service and short delivery times are the strengths of the company. The design team invests all of their passion and craftsmanship in the development of the lamps. Axis71 can be considered a true ‘couturier' in lighting, furniture and objects.Detailed craftsmanship by the following designersStéphane Lebrun, Christophe Gevers, Carlo Forcolini, Tobia Scarpa, Gabi Peretto, Xugang Liu. Projects: all over the world; hotels, restaurants, bars, chateaus...More info: http://www.axis71.com
