Ayoba is a family owned company that was cooked up in our kitchen a few years after we moved to the United States from South Africa. It was an idea that marinated over the first couple of years as we came to realize that the part of South Africa we missed the most was the food. More specifically we missed the Biltong & Droewors. What makes our products different is the unique recipe & drying process that our ancestors have been using for over 400 years. We start with premium cuts of beef that are marinated, seasoned with only natural spices and dried with air for five to fourteen days, instead of cooking the meat at a low temperature for only 6 hours (like jerky).
