India loses 50,000 to 60,000 crores worth of crops annually due to pest attacks. There exist solutions based on biotechnology but they have their own limitation. Chemical pesticides can be used too but repeated use of chemical pesticide cause long term detrimental effect on our environment. Then there is bio-pesticides, but due to their high cost and poor efficacy, these aren't popular either. Our proposed product is an agro-product that is herbal, eco-friendly, cheap and has a better affinity against pests. The USP of our product is that it will work as a pesticide, insecticide and fungicide, therefore a farmer buys one product but gets the benefit of three different products at the same time. This product will be prepared from a weed of the aster family that has zero economic value. Our product also increases crop productivity by adding micronutrients to the soil and maintaining soil pH.
