Director at Sustainable Development Center of Azerbaijan Technology University
Azerbaijan Technological University was founded on the initiative of national leaders in 1970 in Ganja. The university provides education in one campus consisting of 6 educational and 1 administrative buildings. Besides, for the incoming students there is a dormitory which can host 1,000 students in the city. The university offers 23 bachelors, 21 masters, and 10 doctoral degree programs and serves to 2,500 students with a teaching and research staff of 550. UTECA's main educational fields are IT and Computer Science, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Food Sciences and Technology, Tourism Technologies, Machine-Building, Business Administration, Industrial Management, Public Administration, Management and Training-Education Technologies of Human Resources. The University aims to provide physically and mentally strong progressive candidates who will stimulate the development of technologies in all strategic spheres of Azerbaijan. After the independence, the importance of our university to the country has further increased. So that, establishing several production enterprises in different areas of industry, as well as reconstruction of mining industries and rapid development of information communication technologies and such kind of directions make it necessary bring new modern technical equipment to the country for the development of the non-oil sector. Besides, Azerbaijan Technological University works on transforming education into a Techno-park type higher education institution. In 2013 Azerbaijan Technological University has changed its working approach by start of Customer Orientation Program, which shift up education quality and make education in accordance with requirements of customers. This situation makes UTECA more attractive and each year number of students increase rapidly.
