During the years 1993-1995, construction of the runway number 2 at the Baku airport was accomplished successfully with support of the specialists from German company "WIRTGEN". On May 28, 1995, the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan advised to maintain relationships with German specialists.Therefore, "AZVIRT" was established in 1995 as Azerbaijan-Germany Joint Venture. Later the company was renamed "AZVIRT" Limited Liability Company. The company started its business by constructing urban roads in Baku and eventually transformed itself to an international company providing full service for motorway and airport infrastructure projects. Today, AzVirt is one of the largest and reputable road construction contractors in Azerbaijan, specializing in the following services:• Construction, reconstruction and repair of motorways• Construction, reconstruction and repair of bridges, overpasses and other artificial structures• Construction and reconstruction of airport terminals, runways, taxiways and aprons• Road construction materials production• Design worksOur broad experience and recognition for high quality standards, we are uniquely qualified to act as a general contractor for the biggest construction projects of the region. In last 10 years road construction works with the length of approximately 400 km has been fulfilled by AzVirt LLC, 4.8 million tons asphalt was paved for construction of asphalt pavement with total area of 8,0 million m2. 81 bridges, 9 tunnels, 21 underpasses and pedestrian passages has been constructed within these projects.
