Bacchetta Bikes NZ is the New Zealand dealer for Bacchetta Recumbent bikes. We are passionate about seeing these bikes infiltrate the New Zealand cycling market. We believe cycling is the best way to get around - especially in a busy city. Recumbent bikes have many advantages over upright, or DF (Diamond Frame) bicycles. #1 Speed Due to the more aerodynamic design, and riding position, recumbent bikes are much faster - even our heaviest models can easily beat a carbon racing DF. #2 Comfort Instead of your weight being all in one place, on a recumbent it's spread over a much larger area. This gives you a much more comfortable ride, enabling you to go much further. #3 Safety It's a much shorter distance to fall if you happen to crash. Also, due to the center of gravity being way back, it's almost impossible to fly over the handlebars.
