Founded on August 3, 1983, Bagong Silang High School was the alma mater of some notable persons of Caloocan and serves as training grounds of the future leaders.Bagong Silang High School started its organization with the long hours of pleading and lobbying of the relocate-residents of Bagong Silang - Tala Resettlement Area coupled with personal sacrifices of parents led by Mr. Sotero De Saville. Their efforts were finally rewarded when in the school year 1983-1984, Dr. Bienvenido A. Icasiano, the Schools Division Superintendent, Caloocan, Metro Manila, directed the official organization of Bagong Silang High School.On August 3, 1983, the enrollment commenced and the turnover of facilities by the National Housing Authority (NHA) for the school' use was held. The batch of 1,104 enrollees was organized into ten first year, six second year, four third year, and two fourth year classes at the stint of then School Principal, Lourdes M. Faustino (1983 - 1986) who had a teaching force of forty faculty members.Initially, two livelihood buildings with four classrooms each at the annex, which had a total land area of 300 square meters, were made available by NHA.From that date, the school continued to survive and even strongly flourished in terms of academic advancement and physical improvement under the leadership of hardworking and dedicated principals in their respective years of appointment.
