Hospital & Health Care - Centennial, Colorado, United States
Gabby Krause was an amazing six-year old who died in September 2004 after a courageous 19-month battle with brain cancer.Gabby loved purple, swimming, and coke-flavored slurpees. She sang, danced and laughed her way through chemo-therapy. She found the silly in everything! It was Gabby's wish that every child at the hospital could have their very own Bag of Fun. Our foundation began because of this special wish, and Bags of Fun was created in the spirit of Gabby's original bag of toys and fun activities. Thanks to our sponsors, we've delivered more than 10,000 bags to kids facing illnesses! Bags of Fun go out to pediatric patients undergoing cancer treatment, kidney dialysis and heart, liver and kidney transplants. Our Mission is to deliver a Bag of Fun to every sick child whose health and happiness is both compromised and threatened. Our Vision is to bring joy, laughter and relief to every child fighting a life threatening disease or condition. The Gabby Krause Foundation was started to fulfill Gabby's wish that every child have a Bag of Fun, and the foundation's goal is to expand Bags of Fun to other cities.
