We always make sure to suit the house to the site and often use vernacular and historical archetypes to give depth and character to the architecture and adjoining landscape. We get excited about timber frames, locally sourced stuff including reclaimed materials and craftspeople, wonderful woodwork, sheltering roofs, energy efficient building techniques, healthy homes, whimsical details and the sensible use of space.
