Balanced Business got its start because its owner wanted to help small businesses succeed. Whether it's help with setting up a new accounting system - or simply upgrading or cleaning up an existing one, or evaluating current processes and procedures for weaknesses, wanting some assistance with the monthly accounting or for us to handle it full stop, we can offer a wide range of services that can be tailored to cover what you need.Breanne Mode is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Balanced Business. She has over 13 years of experience in the accounting industry and got her start in Denver, Colorado. After graduating from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, Breanne began working as an auditor with a local accounting firm where her client base consisted of non-profit organizations and foundations, manufacturing businesses, hotels, and retailers to name a few.After over 5 years in public accounting, Breanne decided to move into private industry. She worked for Rady Children's Hospital before becoming the Controller for a real estate developer located in downtown San Diego. It was from there that she decided it was time to pursue her dream of owning her own business and utilizing her skills to help those who would benefit the most: other small business owners.Having lived in San Diego for many years, Breanne is deeply engrained in the San Diego business community. She is an Executive Board Member of the Clairemont Town Council, Treasurer for Make a Wish San Diego's Emerging Leaders Council and was recently appointed by the Mayor of San Diego as a Commissioner on the City of San Diego's Human Relations Commission.
