Balik Kampoeng (formerly known as PINTU Peduli) is a community service organization led by Indonesian students at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. The organisation was established in 2011 and has always become a platform for dedicated and passionate students to work collectively and make a difference in underdeveloped areas of Indonesia every year since.Upcoming project in 2019Balik Kampoeng: Kole Beo!Mbuit Village, West Manggarai, East Nusa Tenggara16-22 December 2019This year, our attention was drawn by Mbuit Village of East Nusa Tenggara whose people live in such infelicitous condition. Mbuit Village is located in an isolated area in Flores Island surrounded by hills and forests. The villagers barely receive any aid from local government and many facilities in the village have been long abandoned. Balik Kampoeng aims to solve 3 main problems faced by the villagers: water scarcity, poor quality of public facilities and low education standard. For decades, both regional and provincial government had tried to reach out to Mbuit but the result was nil. Therefore, it is our duty to help them having the rights they deserve and we hope to make it possible with your help.
