Barbosa Film is feministic indie film and TV production company, based in Oslo Norway. Barbosa Film has produced several short films, like Belles-Lettres (2015), Manifest (2017), Weight of Spring (2017), My Sister (2017), The Manila Lover (2019), Wimbledon (2019), Daddy's Girl (2020) and The Cock-Swan (2020). In 2017 they won an Amanda, the national film prize, for My Sister. In 2019 The Manila Lover was selected at Semaine de la Critique in Cannes for best short film and later won an Amanda prize as well. In 2019 they premiered their first TV series Nudes (20 min * 10 ep) in collaboration with NRK, the Norwegian broadcaster. It premiered autumn 2019 in Norway, and will soon premiere on BBC3 as their first non-english speaking series.Barbosa Film is runned by the Norwegian, Belgium and Colombian sisters Nina M. and Liv J. Barbosa Blad. Nina is the managing director and producer and Liv works as director and scriptwriter. Barbosa Film's ambition is to produce artistic, contemporary and relevant films and series, with a focus on forwarding diversity and female artists. Barbosa Film is currently working with the development of the second season of Nudes, and developing three series, two feature films and two short films.
