About BarCamp:BarCamp is an international network of user generated conferences — open, participatory events, whose content is provided by participants. The first BarCamps focused on early-stage web applications, and related open source technologies, social protocols, and open data formats.History:BarCamps are held all over the world, in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and Asia including Azerbaijan.Structure and participatory process:BarCamps are organized and promoted largely through the web, harnessing what might be called a Web 2.0 communications toolkit. The procedural framework consists of sessions proposed and scheduled each day by attendees, mostly on-site, topic, time and language of the sessions are written on white boards or paper on the wall. BarCamps are based on a simplified variation of Open Space Technology (OST), relying on the self-organizing character of OST. Other than in classical conference formats, BarCamps rely on the passion and the responsibility of the participants, putting them into the driver's seat.Rules of BarCamp: attendees are encouraged to present or facilitate a session; everyone is also asked to share information and experiences of the event, before, during and after the fact, via public web channels including (but not limited to) blogging, photo sharing, twittering, wiki-ing, and etc.BarCamp Azerbaijan:Azerbaijan's 1st participation in BarCamp was in Riga, Latvia, 8-10 February, 2008. Emin Huseynzade, Rashad Aliyev, Rashad Mehbaliyev, Ilgar Mirza and Elmar Ismailov participated in this un-conference. After this BarCamp Azerbaijan was founded in February, 2008.Our experience:BarCamp Azerbaijan organized 1st BarCamp in Azerbaijan (www.barcamp.az/2008/), BarCamp Caspian (www.barcampcaspian.org), BridgeCamp (www.korpukamp.org) and BarCamp Azerbaijan 2009 (www.barcamp.az/2009).
