Bard Films was founded in the aim of creating films that are grounded in local culture, built from the bottom-up to reveal the inherent poetic nature of the communities we inhabit. We develop our imagery in conjunction with our stories in order to open up the interpretative possibilities for the viewer of the world in which we create our films, a world that is always more complex than at first considered, in which beauty is often hidden and must be sought out. Cinema is more than entertainment: it is a form of sight, a way of conceiving the world, that we strive to create. We always seek to collaborate with young and emerging artists to expand the horizon of our views and to develop films of the highest quality. Our network is international, having produced works in both Spain and the UK and working with filmmakers from across Europe, Asia and the Americas.
