BaroFold was founded in 2009 by Matt Brewer and Matt Seefeldt through the acquisitions of a new company and is based on the patented PreEMT technology invented at the University of Colorado in the laboratories of Dr. Ted Randolph and Dr. John Carpenter. The Company is located at the Fitzsimons Bioscience Park in Aurora, CO and enjoys ample access to talented researchers within the biotech corridor between Denver and Boulder. BaroFold provides the leading solution for solving the challenges of protein refolding and aggregation and enables E coli cytoplasmic expression to be the most efficient and cost effective expression technology when glycosylation is not required. BaroFold's contract research services leverage a scalable, cGMP validated, Pressure Enabled Protein Manufacturing Technology (PreEMT™) for accelerating biologic drug development by reversing protein aggregation. BaroFold helps companies create novel protein therapeutics, accelerate therapeutic protein development and manufacture follow-on biologics where access to a novel process technology is critical. BaroFold manufactures state of the art PreEMT units for laboratory research and client clinical production requirements. All of BaroFold's units have successfully completed multiple GMP development runs for clinical supply and are available for licensing.
