It is indeed a great privilege on my part to offer a warm welcome to all who desire to pursue their studies in this premier institution of higher education. The college, now at the threshold of its golden jubilee, came into being in 1966 as the cumulative consequence of the noble initiative and painstaking efforts collectively undertaken by a host of leading citizens and the general public of greater Howly and Barpeta Road area under the leadership of Sjt. S. N. Das, the founder principal of the college.
