Since its inception in 1992 as the first label in New England to develop & promote local artists, success of the label & production company has allowed regional & national expansion into other markets. We pride ourselves on promoting New England talent, including photographers, engineers, recording & mastering studios, graphic designers, newspapers & television markets.Barrio Records produces great product & also believes strongly in giving Boston & New England a presence at the national & international level.We do this by participating in such prestigious events as the "Radio y Musica" Convention in Los Angeles, & the International Convention in Miami with the illustrious "Billboard Magazine." Taking part in the "Latin Grammy Awards" as a company & a voting member. In addition to local & regional productions, Barrio Records has worked with Walt Disney on a joint project with Boston company Cake & Candles.We have worked with Univision & with Boston television station WUNI originating the renowned "Pachanga Latina." By bringing together the best of area dancers, & by using our standing & contacts in the industry, we premiered many of the original videos on the show. Barrio Records exclusive Artist, Leslie Mendez, was the first Artist to perform live on Pachanga Latina/Univision.We are proud & pleased to share with you our excitement for the new millennium.
