Barrister Capital Corporation is a 501(c)(7), volunteer operated, organization, supporting The Delta Chi Fraternity, Inc. BCC is the primary "umbrella" corporation for all property and property management functions (International House Corporation). We are tasked with facilitating the growth of competitive housing for Delta Chi chapters, on college campuses across North America. Additionally, we are tasked with providing assistance to Delta Chi's local housing corporations (LHC), providing knowledge and experience in fraternity housing. The goal of Barrister Capital Corporation (BCC) is to facilitate and grow the housing stock, and improve the housing conditions for chapter houses of The Delta Chi Fraternity, Inc. BCC assists with housing retention (the loss of chapter houses when a chapter closes), improving Delta Chi's ability to return to those campuses, and re-colonize with permanent housing. BCC evaluates and oversees a property management group, Barrister Property Management, LLC (BPM) and also manages the LLC's that are used to own and acquire properties or master leases. The goal of Barrister Property Management (BPM) is to assist Delta Chi's local housing corporations (LHC) with their most labor intensive processes for their volunteers. BPM facilitates rent collection, billing, bill payment and electronic lease management. We provide online capabilities to bill tenants, online access for payment by tenants, and online access for chapter house maintenance, repair items and requests. We provide a mechanism for our LHC's to automate their move-in and move-out processes; pay existing bills and vendors for chapter houses; eLeasing capabilities with electronic signature to streamline the leasing processes. All monies received by BCC or BPM are used to cover any overhead costs, an then used to directly benefit Delta Chi chapters via additional housing initiatives (meal plans, live-in-house-mom, security, HV/AC, capital improvements, furniture, etc.)
