Who is Bart's Automotive & Towing? Our story begins over 45 years ago on the Southside of Chicago. Blind Bart experiences the loss of his father at a very young age. This meant him and his younger brother Brian were the men of the house now.Bart & Brian soon became sick of seeing their mother pay outrageously high repair bills. Often times it would be simple fixes too. They decided to take this into their own hands and began repairing the family car in their mother's garage.After their first repair, they were hooked. They fell in love with the feeling of pride and accomplishment from finishing a repair. Word soon spread throughout the small Southside Chicago neighborhood about Blind Bart. Everyone was impressed with his amazing skills and great prices! *Fast forward through the renaissance of the American muscle car era to today* "Blind Bart" runs his very own auto repair business known as Bart's Automotive & Towing (or BAT for short) in Alsip, IL going on 27 years! His shop being not very far from his mother's small garage where it all started. Blind Bart is the definition of a true car enthusiast. If you want to make Blind Bart smile rev up your engine, do a burnout, or simply give him your car to wrench on! Blind Bart refuses to let struggles of life get in the way of his dreams. He has dreamt of driving his 1969 Dodge Dart for over 16 years now. Mercedes0-Benz heard about Bart's Journey to drive his Dart and wanted to help. Once completed we will rally out to the Alvord desert so he can finally feel the experience of driving his car for the first time!
