Base4 is developing a single-molecule DNA sequencing platform that uses pyrophosphorolysis to release nucleotides one letter at a time from individual fragments of DNA.We have developed next-gen microfluidics which allow us to capture these nucleotides after they are released. Our proprietary nucleotide detection chemistry allows us to detect, accurately, individual nucleotides in micron-scale droplets and read which letter is present. We are also able to read directly, with no bi-sulphite conversion, whether those nucleotides are methylated.
