Dawn of year 2012 meant the arrival of a new star on the horizon of the Pakistani advertising scene. BBDO, after years of successful operations and expansion around the globe, decided to set up an office in the cultural hub of Pakistan, Lahore. Aamir Allibhoy, the GM, was given the task of going in Guns Blazing, having quickly assembled a team of young and enthusiastic advertising professionals to tackle the Flavors portfolio for Pepsi Co, one of the largest clients in the country, as well as a strategic and significant account within the worldwide network of BBDO International. The Pakistan office will lead power brands such as Mountain Dew, which is the largest CSD in Pakistan, along with 7UP, Mirinda and Sting Energy. As of Q1 2013 the agency also acquired the dynamic Pepsi Co (Snacks) portfolio, consisting of Lays, Wavy, Kurkure and Cheetos.\ \Located at M.M. Tower on the ever so reputable M.M. Alam road, the company startled the advertising giants in the country by immediately securing massive, lucrative brands and also by diving straight in to action. Within three months BBDO has produced two original campaigns for Sting and 7UP with a full-blown 360 degrees communication plan around them and has locally adapted a global campaign for Mountain Dew. BBDO Pakistan believes in providing clients with work that marries creativity and effectiveness, all based on deeply rooted consumer insights.
