Civic & Social Organization - , England, United Kingdom
Our Vision is to raise the aspirations of Children & Young People within our community, through positive recreational activity, that brings together local people from all walks of life and backgrounds to come together to improve our own community. The company began as the Billingham Charity Trophy Fun Day (BCT) back in 2005, and the event was started by Paul and Gary Burgum and intended to bring the Sporting community of Billingham together to raise funds for charities and good causes as well as promoting sport to the local children. The group very quickly added music to its core purpose, finding likeminded people with music as their passion. The group very quickly discovered the power that what people do in their own recreational time can do to all aspects of their life. In 2010 the group formally became a Community Interest Company Ltd by Shares. Paul and Lee Burgum are the current shareholders having personally financed the start-up of the company. They are joined by a board of independent Directors with a mix of backgrounds. The company now regularly runs a mix of events both recreational and corporate. We are also gaining a good reputation for our Youth Work which utilises all of the core skills the group began with back in 2005. We run commercial activities such as our Catering business based at the Billingham Synthonia Club. These are means of funding all of our community based work.
