BDA Equestrian - Owned and managed by Kyle and Kelly, the business specialises in producing the modern sports horse in the traditional way. There are four specific areas to their business, Breeding, Producing, Training and Competing.BDA Bloodstock programme started 10 yrs ago, and the operation has steadily grown to include 7 mares and 3 licensed stalions. Central to the programme objectives is that the mares have proven mother lines and all carry exceptions bloodlines from eventing and showjumping. BDA KYLE HASSELL, grew up in Bermuda where he competed internationally in junior showjumping, achieving podium finishes at the Caribbean Equestrian Ass Championships. Kyle moved to the UK at the age of 15 and worked for the following 6 years as stable jockey to Andrew Saywell learning invaluable skills in the producing of young horses that went on to become European and World champions. After a short time working at International Showjumper William Funnells Billy Stud, Kyle moved to Lincolnshire where he gained his AI technician qualifications and established the BDA breeding programme.BDA KELLY ALDOUS, Brought up in rural Norfolk, Kelly started grooming for a friend with FEI ponies and spent hours at a local riding school before getting her own pony in 2003. Kelly then quickly and successfully competed at Pony Club and JRN championships. These early successes were noticed by the Irish Olympic rider Trevor Smith who invited Kelly to train in Ireland. Returning home she became a working pupil for the then Eventing World Championship Gold Medallist, Piggy French. It is here Kelly continued to develop her riding skills whilst understanding what is needed to run and manage competition horses in a professional event yard. In 2007 Kelly took the courageous steps of setting up on her own and successfully producing and competiting up to BE Int. 4*. Having met briefly at the Billy Stud, in 2013 they merged their respective businesses.
