BeachCorps is a new kind of impact travel that uses great vacations, people-to-people engagement and sustainability campaigns to empower great nonprofit causes. BeachCorps allows you to pick your hotel, cause, and volunteer activity. BeachCorps will focus on millennials, families and companies to create a new kind of impact travel that is also fun, easy, and proven to fix the existing problems in "voluntourism."BeachCorps works with the best hotels such as the Punta Cana Group and the top-rated excursion company Runners Adventures and other private companies dedicated to corporate social responsibility.BeachCorps only works with established causes such as the Puntacana Foundation, Mir Foundation, Rotary clubs, FECOTUR, and the US Episcopal Church and not causes invented to please tourists. BeachCorps assures that the varied activities in projects for tourists advance worthy causes and never cause harm or promote a culture of dependence and "toxic charity." We seek to redefine volunteer vacations to show that the most important ways volunteers can contribute is with their time for people-to-people engagement, their donation to a worthy cause, and their 500 Facebook friends. BeachCorps has a wider, more creative vision of "Empowerment thru Engagement" volunteer activities to include not just teaching English or light manual labor, but also baseball, talent shows, cooking and serving meals. The cause decides the activity. BeachCorps vacations are an excellent value compared to existing volunteer vacations, which cost more, don't let you select your hotel, and have less impact because they don't work with worthy, established nonprofits.Unlike other models, BeachCorps PR efforts are focused on our partners, in particular the wonderful work of nonprofit partners.
