Our Background & Mission Beacon Preservation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation of lighthouses and their environments for educational, cultural, recreational, and historical preservation purposes. Our mission is to ensure that communities, civic organizations, and educational and research institutions are able to enjoy educational enrichment, cultural events, and recreational opportunities through reasonable (but carefully controlled for environmental impact and protection purposes) access to these important icons of nautical history.Over 50 Ct based students took part in one of the most extrodinary education programs in Connecticut.
