Bearys Amanah, an investment management company promoted by Bearys Group is governed on principles of Sharia. Bearys Group, a reputed name in the real estate and construction industry, has had the Sharia principles at its core, right from its inception in 1981 and creation of Bearys Amanah is a step further in this direction. Despite being in a capital intensive industry, Bearys Group has always avoided getting interest based debts on its books throughout its more than three decades of business in India. All the activities have been financed through internal accruals, pre-selling, private equity and foreign institutional funding. Bearys Group was the recipient of the first Sharia compliant Foreign Direct Investment for a real estate project in India. Saudi based Sedco Capital had made this Sharia compliant investment of around $40 Million into Bearys Group in 2007. Bearys Amanah is launching ‘Bearys India Realty Sharia Fund' – the first Sharia compliant Foreign Venture Capital Investment (FVCI) Fund in India for which it is in the process of raising an amount of $100 Million. The amount raised will be used to fund two high profile real estate projects in Bangalore – Bearys Global Research Triangle (Phase II), a global standard commercial project for R&D purposes and Bearys Queen's Necklace, a premium residential project with a unique two skin design concept, the first in India.
