Beautiful People is a high-end Japanese brand that blurs the line between ordinary and extraordinary. Owner and designer Hidenori Kumakiri perfected his craft in fashion as a pattern-maker at Comme des Garçons Homme, where he worked for 6 years.He finally launched his own label in 2007.Every season, Beautiful People finds beauty in the common ground between opposite ideas (kids/adults, male/female, front/back). This concept gave birth to the "kids series" (children's size clothes for grown-ups), a huge hit that would become one of the brand's standard products. Since then, the brand's use of exquisite fabrics and clever garment construction has won the hearts of many. As a result, Beautiful People is currently stocked in over 76 stores in Japan and overseas. The first flagship store was designed by word renowned architect Masamichi Katayama (Wonderwall Inc.) and opened in 2011. It was followed by 4 other company-owned shops located in the most exclusive areas of Tokyo and Osaka.After establishing its place in the Japanese market, Beautiful People started presenting its collections overseas. Since 2017, it has been part of the official calendar of Paris Fashion Week, catching the eyes of renowned journalists and constantly being featured in major international publications such as Vogue and WWD.
